This course lasts 12 weeks and is much more in depth than anything else we offer. You will be taught by two experienced teachers making sure that you will get the one on one time needed to support you. It’s perfect if you want to learn about the complete dress making process form start to finish.
The course will look at what goes into designing a dress, how to make a block and a pattern, how to cut and size the dress and how to sew it all together with the final alterations to give it a stylish finish. You will be using books as reference material and then using your own ideas and advice from the teacher to help you decide which classic dress shape you want to design. We use Brother sewing machines and also include cottons in a range of 3 colours which you can use to make your design. Alternatively you can provide your own fabric(we advise to get at least 3 meters)and we will refund you £5. At the end of the course we will have a mini graduation with a fashion show so you can all show off your creations. A student pack including design sheets, a pencil case and note book are also included in the price. We will provide sandwiches and cups of tea as light refreshments every week.

Places are strictly limited to 6 to ensure individual tuition.
